Library Celebrates 20th Anniversary!

Your very own Chesterfield Township Library will be 20 years old on Nov. 8, 2014. Wow! On Nov. 8, 1994, the residents of Chesterfield voted in a special election to establish a township library. The vote was officially certified on Nov. 22, 1994.

To commemerate this milestone, the library will be hosting a day of celebration on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. Notable events this day will include:

•A special Children’s Program featuring Wildlife Safari at 10:30 a.m.

• The dedication of the library’s meeting room to the memory of John Hebert at 12:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served at that time.

•A performance by The F Street Band at 1:30 p.m. Alan Naldrett, local historian and library trustee, will bring his band to the library to celebrate the occasion with rhythm and blues and rock ‘n roll.

• The Friends of the Library will be having their used book sale from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.

We look forward to celebrating our 20 years in the community. Please join us for a great day!
