Summer Reading Program
June 01, 2020 through August 28, 2020
The Chesterfield Township Library's Summer Reading Program provides a reading challenge for participants of all ages, youth, teens and adults.
This year's summer reading challenge is completely online. Rather than using a paper reading log, please click the link to open up the online reading log. There is a feature in the summer reading software called "Family Management Portal" that allows parents to access all of their children's reading logs from a single login if they wish.
For logging purposes this year, we are counting the number of books, along with challenges to give participants reading ideas. When a reader qualifies for a prize, they will be given a link that will take them to a form to request their prize. Prizes will be available for curbside pick-up this summer.
We also have a community goal of 2500 books. Once the community reading goal is met, the community will get to vote for a special new item to be added to the Library of Things that will be available for check-out.
Reading every day is great both for stopping the summer slide with young readers, and reading daily encourages a healthy, relaxing habit for teens and adults. We're excited about all the new summer books for reading and relaxing. Come read with us!
