TEEN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES
The Chesterfield Township Library has many volunteer opportunities for teens. We strive to offer tasks that are accessible to a wide-range of teens. Whether you need volunteer hours for school or are just looking to be more active in your community, the library would be pleased to benefit from your time.
To become a volunteer, fill out the Teen Advisory Board application. Send your application to teens@chelibrary.org. Once submitted, our Teen Librarian will reach out to discuss volunteer tasks, including training, dates, and times to complete in-person tasks.
We are looking for teen volunteers to complete these tasks:
Tasks | Hours Earned | Details |
Book Review | 0.5 Hour Per Review | Write short reviews about books to be displayed near books on the shelves. Reviews can be emailed to teens@chelibrary.org. |
TAB Meeting | 1 Hour | Attend and participate in Teen Advisory Board meetings. |
Attend Teen Library Program | 1.5 to 2 Hours | Attend a teen program at the library. |
Shelf Cleaning | 1 to 3 Hours | Clean and dust book shelves in the youth and teen area. Hours will vary. |
Create Program | 3 or more Hours | Help create and plan a teen program under the guidance of Teen Librarian. |
Create Book TikTok Video | 1 Hour | Help create videos for TikTok. |
Create Book Lists | 1-3 Hours | Create booklists of materials around a theme. |
